Your engagement session is the perfect chance to get to know each other and see how we work together in real time. It allows us to get comfortable and work out any minor kinks in a safe space before the wedding day. That way when it’s showtime you’ve been there, done that already and your wedding day photography is a breeze.
Your engagement photography session is the perfect time to showcase your spontaneous side and your love for adventure with your partner in crime. Having this dedicated time before the wedding not only let’s you celebrate on of the most important milestones in your life (you’re about to BE MARRIED!) it also let’s us get to know each other better so that by the time you’re wedding rolls around it feels completely natural to have me following you around with a camera. You’ll be completely prepared and never feel awkward during your photos because you’ll already know exactly what to expect.
LET'S DO THIS!
Let’s get your greatest adventure started!
Whether close to home or in an exotic location, your engagement photography session is the perfect opportunity to cut loose, have fun, and let the special quirks that make your relationship unique shine. I help you choose the perfect location and give guidance on wardrobe so you are sure to look your best. During your session you’ll never feel awkward because I’ll guide you through poses and prompts to elicit genuine, candid reactions. Before you know it the session will be over and it will just feel like you were hanging with your favorite person. Let’s capture your love story today!
That’s an easy question, because the answer is you do! Even if you already had photos done the engagement session is your dry run for working with me so that on your wedding day you are comfortable in front of the camera and know exactly what to expect. (Besides, there’s no such thing as too many photos!)
Say less. Your furry family is always welcome as far as I’m concerned, but be warned I will snuggle and pet them before paying you any attention! It may be helpful to bring along an extra set of hands to help wrangle your pets when they are not in the photos (and don’t forget treats!)
Generally I advise clients to coordinate, not match. I advise couples to dress like you would if you were going out together for a date or outing. The goal is to make sure you look like you “go” together while still showcasing your individual personalities. If you have questions you are welcome to text me photos and I will provide feedback and guidance.
Yes! You are welcome to have an outfit change during your session or to incorporate 2 locations. Please keep in mind that travel time and changing time do count as part of your session time, so the more changes we make the longer your session will need to be scheduled for to accommodate enough time for photos.
